European Celebration of Women in Computing
Europe has the right idea when it comes to celebrating female trailblazers!
The first European Celebration of Women in Computing took place last weekend in Belgium. ECWC is open to all and presents the opportunity for like-minded females to meet and celebrate the best female technology talent from all over Europe. Considering ECWC is only in its first year, the event has already attracted some of the biggest names in the industry with sponsors including Intel, Google, SAP and Cisco – just to name a few.
We often talk about the importance of encouraging and engaging women when it comes to considering ICT as a career, but it’s truly refreshing to see this being recognised on a global scale. The shift is happening now and it is bound to reach our Australian shores sooner rather than later.
Digital Careers would like to congratulate the winners at this year’s ECWC and we look forward to seeing what their talents will bring to the future of technology!
